About the Role
The Assistant Store Supervisor will support the day-to-day operations of talabat’s cloud grocery store, tMart, a pioneering concept that offers grocery deliveries within 30 minutes at competitive prices. This role is responsible for overseeing store activities during assigned shifts, ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and high service standards. Working closely with the Store Supervisor, the Assistant Store Supervisor will help drive productivity, minimize losses, and maintain a safe and hygienic store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end store operations during assigned shifts, including staffing, inbound receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment
- Assist the Store Supervisor in scheduling shifts, managing staff performance, and maintaining operational readiness
- Support store ordering and replenishment to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent overstock or stock shortages
- Oversee inventory management processes, including stock takes and cycle counts
- Ensure accurate inbound receiving of goods in line with company SOPs
- Monitor efficient picking and packing of customer orders to meet delivery timelines
- Maintain hygiene, safety, security, and service-level standards throughout store operations
- Identify operational issues, discuss solutions with the Store Supervisor, and recommend process improvements
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a supermarket, grocery, or restaurant environment
- Strong hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage
- Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
