Job Overview
The Sales Support Agent – Courier Express plays a critical role in delivering a high standard of customer service while supporting the onboarding of new customers as account holders. The position works closely with SkyCargo systems and aligns processes to ensure freight and optional charges are billed accurately according to agreed tariff rates. This role is essential in maintaining financial accuracy, customer satisfaction, and compliance with international cargo regulations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with internal stakeholders and ensuring smooth commercial support operations, including:
- Coordinating with EK Revenue Accounts to manage Air Waybill (AWB) stock ranges and ensure timely release of AWBs to agents
- Managing the commercial support mailbox to respond to customer requests, resolve billing disputes, and handle cargo-related queries
- Reconciling daily cash and card collection reports, including import, export, and miscellaneous sales, and sharing reports with the finance team
- Running daily COU AWB movement reports and billing ULD pivot weight charges for shipments using dedicated ULDs
- Addressing AWB verification discrepancies by conducting weekly quality checks with the central verification team
- Verifying waivers and refunds for freight charges and recovering amounts waived without proper authorization
- Tracking optional services such as ATA trucking, relabelling, and packing fees, ensuring accurate billing
- Assisting in raising waivers, service recovery cases, and manual CCAs through SkyConnect and SkyChain for management approval
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the air cargo industry, preferably at a team leader or equivalent level
- Strong background in cargo operations and customer service
- Good knowledge of Air Cargo Tariffs, IATA/FIATA regulations, and SkyCargo systems, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of import and export rules and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools
- A solution-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving abilities
