Role Overview: Finance Data & Analytics Lead
The Finance Data & Analytics Lead is responsible for defining and executing Etihad’s finance data and analytics vision. The role focuses on modernizing financial systems, integrating advanced analytics and AI solutions, and promoting strong data governance and data literacy across the finance organization.
This is a strategic leadership role requiring a blend of financial expertise, data architecture knowledge, and technical proficiency to deliver innovative reporting and analytics solutions that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Digital Transformation
The selected candidate will:
- Own the vision, roadmap, and return on investment (ROI) for finance data and analytics initiatives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify digital innovation opportunities
- Drive the deployment of AI and advanced analytics to improve financial decision-making
- Ensure seamless integration of financial systems with cloud-based analytics platforms
2. Data Governance and Quality
Core responsibilities include:
- Establishing and enforcing finance data governance policies
- Monitoring data quality through analytics and performance metrics
- Coordinating with IT and finance teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Developing protocols for system maintenance and continuous improvement
3. Change Management and Data Literacy
The role also emphasizes:
- Leading change management initiatives within the finance function
- Promoting self-service analytics to empower teams
- Championing data literacy and AI understanding across finance
- Supporting learning and development plans related to data and analytics
4. Performance Measurement and Insights
The Finance Data & Analytics Lead will:
- Define and monitor KPIs to assess financial strategy effectiveness
- Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management

Education and Experience Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, data analytics, or a related field
- Airline or transportation industry experience is a strong advantage
Education & Technical Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Certifications in data analytics, data science, or financial systems are highly desirable
- Strong expertise in ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle
- Advanced knowledge of data architecture, cloud analytics, AI, and data visualization tools
