Job Purpose
As a Pharmacist at Emirates Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring employees receive safe, accurate, and effective medication support. Your responsibilities will include dispensing prescribed and non-prescribed medications, guiding patients on proper drug usage, preventing prescribing errors, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.

Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic healthcare role, your responsibilities will include:
Medication Dispensing & Patient Care
- Prepare and dispense both prescription and OTC medications independently.
- Review patient medication profiles to ensure safety and dosing accuracy.
- Offer treatment for minor conditions (e.g., flu, cough, constipation) without a doctor’s instruction.
- Dispense prescriptions from external clinics within the network.
Drug Therapy Management
- Ensure patients receive medications in correct dosages and quantities.
- Identify drug interactions and modify drug regimens when necessary.
- Counsel patients and clinicians on drug indications, contraindications, side effects, and safe usage.
- Rectify prescribing errors to prevent complications and potential fatalities.
Pharmacy Operations & Inventory Management
- Work with the Senior Pharmacist to maintain adequate drug stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage and prevent medicine wastage.
- Conduct expiry checks and audits to reduce loss and improve profitability.
- Manage documentation and update drug formulary and safety advisories.
Professional Development
- Participate in weekly training seminars and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
- Research and present pharmaceutical topics focused on cost improvement and better communication.
Qualifications Required
To qualify for the Pharmacist position, candidates must have:
- A recognized pharmacy degree
- A valid DHA license
- Experience in a hospital or community pharmacy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential patient information
