About the Role

The Back Office Agent plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer requests related to account activation and modification. The position requires close coordination with internal teams, strict adherence to policies, and a strong focus on data accuracy and customer experience. This role supports operational efficiency while maintaining high service standards across all back-office activities.


Key Responsibilities

As a Back Office Agent, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assigning and managing activities through designated operational tools
  • Processing account activations and modifications after verifying required documents such as application forms, valid IDs, residence visas, tenancy contracts, and NOCs
  • Cross-verifying customer and authorized person details with system records and official documents
  • Ensuring accurate activity descriptions and complete document attachments before execution
  • Executing requests based on assigned activities and confirming details through customer verification calls
  • Communicating request completion to relevant teams with full details (account number, work order, site schedule)
  • Updating trackers and CRM systems with accurate and complete information
  • Coordinating with ITCRM, GIS, and CSM teams for technical or system-related issues
  • Raising trouble tickets (TTs) for server, network, or system issues and following up within SLA timelines
  • Supporting urgent installations and escalations when required
  • Ensuring full compliance with contact center, financial, and operational policies
  • Staying updated with revised processes, policies, and work instructions

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems or an equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Back Office Operations or Retail Operations
  • Experience in a call center or retail environment is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong self-motivation with a results-driven mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to manage end-to-end customer requests accurately
  • Professional interaction skills across all organizational levels
  • High computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of systems such as Siebel, BSCS, POS, and Oracle is highly desirable
