We are currently urgently hiring an experienced Accountant to join our organization in the United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals who have a strong background in accounting operations within the Building Materials industry and are well-versed in UAE financial regulations. The role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations. This position is best suited for candidates who are detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced business environment. Immediate availability and relevant UAE experience will be considered a strong advantage.
Role Overview
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for handling the company’s core accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting management with reliable financial data. You will play an important role in maintaining compliance with UAE laws, particularly VAT regulations, while also supporting inventory and costing controls related to building materials.The role requires close coordination with internal departments, suppliers, and external auditors to maintain transparent and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Handling VAT filing, compliance, and audit support in accordance with UAE regulations
- Monitoring inventory valuation, costing, and profit margins, specifically related to building materials
- Coordinating with auditors, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve financial queries and discrepancies
- Ensuring strict compliance with UAE financial laws, accounting standards, and internal company policies
- Supporting management with financial insights and documentation as required
Requirements
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following criteria:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience within the UAE
- Mandatory experience in the Building Materials industry
- Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting systems
- Proven ability to manage accounting functions independently and accurately
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
