Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Accountant is to oversee and manage the full cycle of the C-store accounts payable function. This includes processing invoices, clearing payment transactions, and ensuring that all vendor-related payments are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with ADNOC Distribution’s policies. A major part of this role involves working extensively with SAP, requiring strong technical understanding and hands-on experience.

Beyond routine AP work, the AP Accountant will also support various additional finance functions. This includes clearing payroll transactions, assisting with treasury-related matters, managing refund processes, and supporting any ad-hoc payments that appear in the company’s bank statements. Because of the diverse nature of these responsibilities, strong analytical skills, precision, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver the following:

• Streamline invoice processing and ensure accurate clearing of payment transactions using SAP.
• Address vendor queries promptly and monitor the progress of all payments, ensuring they are completed on time.
• Create and maintain accurate SAP master data, ensuring updates are completed efficiently and in compliance with internal policies.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key vendors, promoting smooth financial operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable value chain.
